Pieces For the Home designs and manufactures a varying product line and is continually growing the line with unique custom pieces. We manufacture well built quality pine furniture. We offer 12 unique colors that we handpaint and distress to our customer’s satisfaction. You can also choose from one of our stains that will give you a totally different look. Our attention is focused toward homeowners, designers, restaurants and development companies working on exclusive projects.

Our manufacturing partner is located in Quebec Canada. Not considered large by industry standards, but great pride and workmanship goes into our production. Pieces prides itself on the quality and construction of each piece made and enjoys developing new products with our customers.

The Reclaimed Timber Collection

The Reclaimed Timber Collection is a very special product made from a gathering of old wood using only baltic pine The resources are quite unique, old homes, bridges, etc. Each piece is bench-built, using only reclaimed and recycled timbers collected from Europe. No new trees are cut down to make this furniture.

Cutting edge technology is used in accordance with the environment in mind. The hand rubbed finish is purposeful in its distressed appearance to achieve a genuine ageing, not possible by using new timber. This is a true eco-friendly product where only 100% reclaimed and recycled materials are used.

The principle of construction is best described as “flotsome”, being originally created by the carpenters and cabinet makers of Ireland and England, at a time when new timber was neither plentiful or affordable for furniture construction.

The finishing trades people of that time used many forms of filling materials to cover these timber imperfections. However, we have chosen to expose the honesty of the timber in order to allow each piece to tell a story.

As this product is manufactured from genuine reclaimed old timber, slight movement, which is a natural phenomenon, may occur causing minor surface cracking. A twice a year polish using wax or polishing oil will maintain the authentic rustic finish.

We believe to make the home a more beautiful and detailed environment with furniture of great presence. If this could be done in harmony with making the world a better place through the use of reclaimed materials, then that is our contribution.
